The focus of the giving through the Community Betterment Committee is in communities where we have a Cowan Company office, including:
- Brant County
- Oxford County
- City of Hamilton
- City of Stratford
- City of Ottawa
- Region of Waterloo
Grants to organizations in Cowan Communities are recommended by the Community Betterment Committee (CBC), which subsequently submits their recommendations to The Cowan Foundation for approval.
Current Focus
Currently we are focusing on three major granting areas:
- Programs assisting At Risk Children and Youth, between the ages of 6 and 24.
- Programs which Encourage Excellence in Children and Youth, between the ages of 6 and 24.
- Programs aimed at improving the Health and Wellness of members in our communities.
