The Inspiring Youth Action Program is offered through the schools attended by the members of the Cowan Family Youth Committee (CFYC). Currently, those schools are:

• Rockway Mennonite Collegiate, Kitchener, Ontario
• St. John's Kilmarnock School, Breslau, Ontario
• Southwood Secondary School, Cambridge, Ontario
• Woodstock Collegiate Institute, Woodstock, Ontario

**Only students of the schools noted above are eligible to apply for consideration under this program

Current Focus

The CFYC has two major focus areas:

1. To support programs that assist the Youth in CFYC Communities, whether that be programs to aid "at-risk" youth, disabled youth and/or disadvantaged youth, OR to encourage excellence in our youth to help them become our leaders of tomorrow.
2. To support programs that address the issue of our Environment and the need to take steps to protect our environment for future generations.

Applications

Applications are available at your school's front office. Or you can download an Application from our website. There are four ways to submit your application:

Deadlines

To participate in the Inspiring Youth Action Program, applications must be received at least 15 days prior to the meeting dates of the Committee to be considered.

For the 2009-2010 school year, the Committee's meeting dates are as follows:

• Sunday, September 20th, 2009
• Sunday, November 29th, 2009
• Sunday, January 10th, 2010
• Sunday, March 7th, 2010
• Friday, April 30th, 2010
• Sunday, September 19th, 2010
