Cowan Foundation contribution helps Canadians improve their boating skills with the help of CPS Foundation virtual trainers

Last month, The Cowan Foundation announced the celebration of two important milestones- 20 years of building community and 20 million dollars in donations.  We also shared that in addition to the planned 2015 contributions, The Cowan Foundation has donated $20,000 to ten charitable organizations in Canada. We had a chance to spend the afternoon with one of the ten recipients, The CPS Foundation who shared the impact the donation will have on the organization and on Canadian boaters.

With the $20,000 grant, the CPS Foundation, Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons will acquire additional Boating Skills Virtual Trainers (BSVT). This new equipment provides simulated events that a boater will encounter in real life, giving instructors the opportunity to enhance classroom and on line educational efforts.  For more details and to read the full article issued by Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons click here.
