The Cowan Foundation is pleased to announce a $50,000 donation over 2 years to support the completion of the Accelerator Centre’s clean tech innovation facility, the Sustainable Future Lab (the Lab).

The Lab will be located in the evolv1 building, the first zero carbon building certified by the Canada Green Building Council. It will support up to 40 start-ups working toward low-carbon economy solutions and will officially open in December this year.

“We were very intrigued when we heard about the evolv1 building and the Accelerator Centre’s clean tech initiative”, said Terry Reidel, Executive Director, The Cowan Foundation. “It is clear that this innovative space for new clean tech companies will be instrumental in driving innovation, research and collaboration. Our Foundation believes these concepts are also important in our philanthropic endeavours, therefore we are proud to support the completion of the Lab’s interior space, where entrepreneurs will be provided with the tools to learn, grow and become the next leaders in driving a clean and environmentally sustainable economy.”
